摘 要很多國家都在講英語,這使它變得越來越重要。然而,英語的學習并不簡。在我國農村,初中英語后進生學習狀況令人堪憂,本研究旨在研究以下三個方面:(1)初中后進生英語學習的現狀是怎樣的?(2)那些因素影響初中后進生英語的學習?(3)培養和提高初中后進生英語學習的途徑有哪些?初中英語后進生的形成過程是漸進的。學生自身、學習環境的影響和教師以及教師教學方法等都是影響其形成的因素。本研究針對其形成因素提出了相應的轉化策略。34813

Abstract English has been spoken in many countries.The importance of English is becoming more and more vital. However, it is not simple to learn English. In the rural areas of China, the learning situation of the English underachievers is worrying in middle school. This thesis aims to investigate and analyze the following:(a)What is the current situation of the English underachievers’ learning in countryside middle school? (b)What are the factors affected the underachievers’ English learning? (c)How to transform the underachievers’ English learning effectively? The          formation process of English underachievers is a perplexing phenomenon. The underachievers themselves, the learning environment, the English teacher, the teaching methods,and the English materials are the factors affecting their learning.Besides, some transformation strategies have been proposed to improve the current situation of the English underachievers.

The Transformation Strategies for English Learning Underachievers in Countryside Middle School
Ⅰ. Introduction
The definitions of the underachievers are various because there are a lot of researchers at home and abroad having made numerous investigations about them. The problem of underachievers is a complicate and comprehensive phenomenon.
Generally speaking, the underachievers are those students who do poorly in learning and have bad learning habits or behaviors. They are also doing badly in observing school discipline. Each subject has the underachievers. The underachievers in language study, especially in English study, are widely existed in our country. This phenomenon could result from several reasons: they do not learn hard; they lack the enthusiasm and passion of learn English; they do not have proper and correct learning methods; they haven’t form good and right learning habits and so on. And Anderson thinks that in the progress of English learning the underachievers are less foreign flexible and less effective.
